What is the Redkite Music Box program?
Based in the practices of music therapy, Redkite Music Box is a collection of resources for children and teenagers that can help them reflect on, process, and express their feelings through music. It also includes resources for parents and carers to improve their own emotional wellbeing and connect with their child.
Using creativity, movement, self-expression, and listening, children and teenagers will be able to explore how they’re feeling in a positive way that can help them better cope with the challenges that cancer is causing in their lives.
The Redkite Music Box program was developed by Verena Clemencic-Jones, one of Redkite’s pioneering Registered Music Therapists, in consultation with Redkite’s National Social Work and Music Therapy teams.
