Collaborating to help the whole family, in hospital, at home and in between

Most families will hear about Redkite when their child is hospitalised and they receive their Redkite Red Bag. As their hospital Social Worker, the support you provide and the connections families make with you are critical. You are also their gateway to the support we can provide to them as well as to the people you can’t see, like their extended family. So our approach is flexible and collaborative, to make sure every family member’s needs are met.
We collaborate with health professionals across Australia, in the community, in hospital, and in research so families impacted by childhood cancer can access support, and to continually improve psychosocial support available in the paediatric oncology space.
All Redkite Community Oncology Social Workers are eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
