people with cancer and their families in Western Australia are benefitting from generous donations made by the Channel 7 Telethon Trust to fund Redkite’s essential services.

“We are long term supporters of Redkite because we recognise the importance of being there for families all across Western Australia who may need support. Redkite provides the real stuff – food on the table, financial assistance to pay the bills, and telephone and email counselling. The generous public who support the Telethon make a real difference for families going through cancer, every day,” said Steve Mummery from the Channel 7 Telethon Trust.

“The Channel 7 Telethon is an important part of Western Australian culture and I’m so proud that they have supported Redkite for the last four years. Through their commitment, Redkite is providing Western Australian families going through the cancer journey with financial, emotional and education support – from the very moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and at home,” said Cathy Gregory, Redkite’s National Partnerships Manager.

The 2013 Channel 7 Telethon will run on 19 and 20 October, 2013 and we hope the generous Western Australian community will get behind the weekend and donate generously to let children and young people know that cancer support services are available to them.

Redkite is grateful to be provided with a stand at the expo during the Telethon weekend. Please stop by and say hello to our volunteers.

The Telethon Beneficiaries Expo will run on 19 and 20 October from 10:00am –5:00pm at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

Redkite would like to thank Channel 7 Telethon Trust for its support - and every member of the generous Western Australian community – who will be donating to make a real difference to children and young people with cancer.
