Redkite is delighted to welcome Aware Super’s CEO, Deanne Stewart, to its Board.

Aware Super’s CEO, Deanne Stewart, has joined Redkite’s Board of Directors. Deanne’s extensive leadership experience and belief that a strong culture and clearly defined purpose drive success make her a great addition to the Redkite team.

Deanne has been the CEO of Aware Super since 2018. As one of Australia’s largest super funds, Deanne has led Aware Super’s drive to be a ‘Force for Good’ through its responsible investment philosophy and focus on providing its members with the best guidance and advice for retirement.

She has more than 25 years of leadership experience in financial services in the wealth, superannuation and insurance sectors in Australia and internationally. This includes time as Managing Director with Merrill Lynch Investment Management in New York, and as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company in London. Before joining Aware Super, Deanne was CEO of MetLife Australia and also held senior roles within BT Financial Group including as General Manager for Superannuation, Marketing and Direct Channels.

“I feel incredibly proud to join the Board of Redkite. The work Redkite do each and every day to support children with cancer and their extended families is nothing short of inspiring.”

“For families going through such heartache and challenge with their child facing cancer, knowing that an organisation like Redkite is there to help them – whether that be to navigate the system, or to provide financial or emotional support when they need it – is truly a lifeline for so many families at a time when they need it most.  Given my experience in scaling up organisations, building brands and creating high performing teams, I look forward to helping, particularly as Redkite looks to scale up and help more families in need.”

Redkite CEO Monique Keighery said Deanne’s deep leadership experience and passion for people and culture will be of great value to Redkite.

“Redkite is embarking on an ambitious path to further grow and enhance our support for families as they face childhood cancer. As a people-centred organisation, Deanne’s experience in building engaged and high-performing teams will be invaluable as we work towards closing the gaps in support for the thousands of families who are struggling right now with the challenges of childhood cancer.”
