Harnessing the Power of Community
This October, Iconic Brands ‘Go Red’ for Redkite in Support of Childhood Cancer
Redkite is making it easier than ever for Australians to help children with cancer by partnering with well-loved Aussie brands for the launch of the Go Red fundraising campaign.
Throughout October, Aussie consumers can ‘shop for good’ with a portion of every purchase of specially marked Coles Brand Bread and Bickford’s mixers going directly to Redkite to support families facing childhood cancer.
For the past 11 years, Coles has proudly spearheaded community-driven support for Redkite and has now inspired other brands to join the movement and magnify the challenges of families facing childhood cancer. Amplifying the power of community even further, Cold Rock Ice Creamery has also joined the campaign, making every ice cream purchase from its stores even sweeter.
Childhood cancer is a journey no family should face alone. The emotional, physical and financial toll affects the entire family unit. Amidst these challenges, the collective power of community becomes a ray of light, providing much needed support networks in the everyday lives of these families.
The support of a family’s immediate and wider community can be the difference between facing each day or feeling terribly lost. From home-cooked meals and grocery deliveries to a shoulder to lean on, the practical and emotional support of the community plays a crucial role in reminding families they are not alone.
Monique Keighery, Redkite CEO: “When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it impacts the entire family, often in unexpected and hidden ways. The community becomes an invaluable source of support and the Go Red Campaign harnesses this power, enabling Australians to make a real difference with special purchases. By ‘Going Red’ this October, we can help ensure that more children and families receive the critical support they need during the most challenging time of their lives.”
For Coles, this latest campaign is another demonstration of its support for Redkite and its care for communities.
Sally Fielke, Coles Group General Manager Corporate and Indigenous Affairs: “Coles is proud to support Go Red for Redkite and hope our customers can get behind this wonderful Australian charity by purchasing Coles Brand Bread or Bickford’s cordial or juice at Coles this October to help families facing childhood cancer.”
