Cancer information and support

how we can help

People facing a cancer diagnosis often talk about being thrust into a whole new world. Even months or years after diagnosis, the cancer journey can bring stresses and challenges that can be difficult to deal with alone. Getting information and support can help you make decisions, reduce stress, and gain a sense of control over the situation.

Our support team have years of experience helping young people facing cancer and those close to them gather the information they need. Whether you have a question about the healthcare system, are worried about how to support a family member, or want to talk about ways to manage the challenges of treatment, we're here for you.

We can also help you find books and resources specific to your situation, and we have a team specialisation in education and career support.

is Redkite right for me?

We're here for:

  • Young people with cancer aged up to 24. We need permission from a parent or guardian to support anyone under 14.
  • Anyone caring for a young person with cancer aged up to 24. This includes parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, step-parents, carers, friends of the family and partners of diagnosed young people.

If you’re not sure you can contact us to check.

how long can Redkite support me?

We can support you whether you’re facing a new diagnosis, you’re in treatment, or you’re finished treatment. Our only requirement is that the diagnosed young person is under 24.

For bereaved families and friends, there’s no time limit – we’re here for you for as long as you need support if your loved one died before they were 25.

Whatever’s on your mind, we’ll do everything we can to help out.
