Help families through their grief this Christmas

Christmas can be a distressing time for families who have lost a child to cancer. Thanks to many generous supporters Redkite can be there for families for as long as they need us.

Tianna’s beloved daughter Billie was sick for just three days before she died from cancer.

While mum Tianna, and dad Daniel tried to come to grips with their awful, sudden loss, a social worker at the hospital reached out to Redkite on their behalf.

“We didn’t even know Redkite existed until Billie,” Tianna says. “And then the social worker called to say Redkite were going to help pay for the funeral.”

The kindness of people like you and other in the Redkite community came through. It meant Daniel could take a bit longer off work, and both parents were there to love Billie’s sister Arbree through the worst time of her young life.

“The financial support from Redkite meant we didn’t need to worry about bills and groceries. It just allowed us to be together while we tried to get through it.” Tianna shared
