Red Bag Pack 2025
The Redkite team were joined by volunteers from BOC and MPA, two of our long-term partners, at our annual Red Bag pack at Disney Studios in Sydney.

Redkite provides essential emotional, financial and practical support to children with cancer, and their families and support networks.
It’s vital that when life is turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis, families receive non-medical support as well. The Redkite Diagnostic Support Bag, known as the Red Bag, is given to families in hospital in the first days following a child’s cancer diagnosis. The Red Bag is full of essential items that many families don’t have time to think about, let alone pack, after they learn their child has cancer.
In July, the Redkite team were joined by volunteers from BOC and MPA, two of our long-term partners, at our annual Red Bag pack at Disney Studios in Sydney.
Our dedicated Redkite Services team, alongside volunteers, packed 500 Red Bags over 2 days. They filled the bags with items such as a warm fluffy blanket, a toiletry bag full of full-sized shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes and deodorant, food vouchers, a beautiful Redkite teddy bear and of course the iconic Red Bag itself.

Even though the team were in a freezing warehouse, the energy was fun, warm, and full of heart. After being zipped up, boxed, and shipped off for safe keeping, the next people who open the bag will be a family who have just received the terrifying news that their child has cancer. That reality was not lost on Troy Clancy, Account Director at MPA and President of Redkite’s NSW Regional Council, who rolled up his sleeves to pack bags alongside the MPA team. Here’s what he had to say:
“This is a great opportunity for the whole team to get involved in packing the bags. Seeing what the bag does in reality, this just puts that extra piece of meaning to it…seeing the start of the Redkite journey. The team are getting a real sense of pride and passion for what they’re doing today and they’re loving it. We do this every year and it’s a great thing to look forward to.”
Thank you to our generous volunteers, the Redkite team and supporters who made this another successful Bag Pack!
