You were there when Noelle and her family needed you most

The day when Noelle’s daughter, three-year-old Scout, was diagnosed with leukaemia started just like any other. Find out how you helped.

In the morning, Scout’s mum Noelle watched
her playing happily with her brothers. That
afternoon, Scout was rushed to hospital after
Noelle spotted some unusual bruising. Noelle
didn’t go home again for two months.

In that heartbreaking time, your support
made all the difference.

Your care began with a Redkite Red Bag. It had everything Noelle needed to get through those chaotic early days – like a toothbrush, a warm blanket and toiletries. And it let Noelle know kind people like you were there for her.

Your care didn’t stop there. Thanks to you, Redkite support workers were also on hand whenever Noelle needed to talk. They listened and understood in a way nobody else could, and let Noelle explore her fears and concerns without judgement.

“If there’s a silver lining to the experience, it’s knowing there are people out there who are so generous and loving.” – Noelle

The ‘generous and loving’ people Noelle was talking about are Redkite supporters just like you. Thank you for all your care and kindness.

In 2020, you gave love and care to thousands of mums like Noelle. Here’s how:
You helped fund 8,400 information, support and counselling sessions for families facing childhood cancer.

You made sure 38 different support groups were available for dads, grandparents, and bereaved families.

You helped provide around 2,200 hours of support for children diagnosed with cancer, their families and support networks
