KiteCrew – Redkite’s game-changer in childhood cancer support

KiteCrew is a free app that makes it simple to give a family going through cancer all the practical support they need.

Why Redkite Developed KiteCrew

Getting the right help, at the right time makes all the difference for families when their child is being treated for cancer, but it can be hard to know when and how to help. You don’t always know what the family needs or when they need it. This can lead to dropping over a lasagne for dinner when what they really needed was help with school drop off, or vague offers of ’let me know what I can do’.

Designed by health professionals, KiteCrew is a free task management app that can help families coordinate all the practical support they need while their child is being treated for cancer.

KiteCrew helps you take care of the day-to-day tasks that are left behind when a family is focusing on the care of their child. From walking the dog, helping with the laundry, mowing the lawn or picking up siblings from school, the app makes it easy to see what needs to be done and the ability to put your hand up and accept the task.

Download the KiteCrew app from the Apple App Store or Play Store for android devices.

Redkite and the Sydney Swans

Redkite and the Sydney Swans have been proud partners for 22 years and helped us create an ad to explain what KiteCrew is and how it works. Harry Cunningham, Isaac Heeney, Will Hayward and Oliver Florent jumped at the chance to be the family’s ‘’crew’’, to show how easy KiteCrew makes allocating and completing household chores.

Redkite ambassador and Sydney Swans player, Harry Cunningham says, “We know how important teamwork is, especially when a child has cancer. We love that KiteCrew enables families facing childhood cancer to build their support crew and ask for the right help at the right time.”

    Storytelling with a difference

How do you talk to a child about cancer and what’s happening to them? How do you help them express their feelings? Nothing about cancer is easy.
