how we can help

People facing a cancer diagnosis often talk about being thrust into a whole new world. Even months or years after diagnosis, the cancer journey can bring stresses and challenges that can be difficult to deal with alone. Getting information and support can help you make decisions, reduce stress, and gain a sense of control over the situation. 


Our support team have years of experience helping families facing childhood cancer to gather the information they need. Whether you have a question about the healthcare system, are worried about how to support someone else in your family, or want to talk about ways to manage the challenges of treatment, we're here for you.


We can also help you find books and resources specific to your situation, connect you with others in a similar situation, and help cover the costs of essentials if you need financial assistance

You can also call us on 1800 REDKITE (1800 733 548) Monday to Friday, 9am – 7pm AEST. We’ll always try to connect you with the same person each time. If you'd rather get in touch with us by email, contact and we’ll get back to you in less than two working days. 


Our support team can also meet with you face-to-face at our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.


is Redkite right for me?

We're here for:

  • Children up to 18. We need permission from a parent or guardian to support anyone under 14.
  • Anyone caring for a child between 0-18. This includes parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, step-parents, carers, and friends of the family.

how long can Redkite support me?

We can support you whether your family is facing a new diagnosis, is in treatment, or you’re finished treatment. Our only requirement is that the diagnosed child is 0-18.


For bereaved families and friends, there’s no time limit – we’re here for you for as long as you need support if your loved one died when they were 18 or younger.


Whatever’s on your mind, we’ll do everything we can to help out.
