Welcome to Kids Cancer Conversations

Join Georgie Gardner in the Kids Cancer Conversations podcast, that brings to light the raw and real journey of families navigating childhood cancer.

Every day, three Australian families hear the words no parent ever wants to hear: “Your child has cancer.”

It’s a gut-wrenching reality, and one that changes lives in an instant.

The emotional, physical, and financial toll is overwhelming, yet behind every statistic is a story – a family trying to navigate the unthinkable

Kids Cancer Conversations with Georgie Gardner  is my new podcast that brings to light the raw and real journey of families navigating one of the most challenging experiences anyone could face.

From the moment of diagnosis to the long and emotional battle that follows, this podcast series gives these families the space to share their experiences and to offer other families – who may be walking a similar path – the comfort of knowing they’re not alone.

For those who might not know, Redkite is an incredible Australian charity that has been supporting children with cancer and their families for over 40 years.

Whether it’s offering emotional support, financial assistance, counselling or educational resources, Redkite steps in during moments of crisis to ensure that no family has to bear this burden in isolation.

Many of the families I’ve spoken to simply wouldn’t have made it through without their help – and it’s why I’m passionate about advocating and spreading greater awareness of this cause.

Through this podcast, my hope is that we can not only spread awareness about childhood cancer but also shine a light on the invaluable role Redkite plays in helping families cope with the overwhelming stress and uncertainty.

More than that, I want this to be a source of comfort for other families in similar situations – a reminder that they’re not alone, and that there are people and organisations out there ready to support them, every step of the way.

Launching Kids Cancer Conversations has been one of the most emotional and rewarding projects I’ve ever been a part of.

It’s about giving families the chance to be heard, to share their experiences, and to help others who may be at the start of their own difficult journey.

I’m incredibly proud to be a part of this important conversation, and I can’t wait for you to hear these stories.

Because at the end of the day, these stories are about more than cancer. They’re about love, resilience, and finding hope in the most challenging of circumstances. And I think we could all use a little more of that in our lives.

Kids Cancer Conversations hosted by Georgie Gardner is a podcast made in collaboration with Redkite, the podcast seeks to explore the hidden side of Childhood Cancer, the non-medical part that often gets missed on the cancer journey.

Episode one of Kids Cancer Conversations with Georgie Gardner is available now wherever you get your podcasts. I hope you’ll join me for this important conversation.
