Amazing results from the 2013 SAPEF Regatta for Redkite

December 2013 Redkite is delighted to announce that this year's SAPEF Regatta for Redkite raised almost $50,000 to help Redkite provide essential support to children and young people with cancer.

Held annually since 2011 to raise funds for Redkite, the regatta was established by the SAP Ecosystem Foundation (SAPEF), a foundation set up by SAP to raise funds for charity.

The 14-yacht race, held on Friday 1 November, was hosted by Kerry Chikarovski. The race started at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club and headed down Sydney Harbour and around Fort Denison. Redkite would like to congratulate winners Everyjoy, who were also the major sponsors of the event.

Check out the photos, final results and video below from the day.

At a post-Regatta function, guests enjoyed food, drinks and also had the opportunity to participate in an exciting auction and raffle, thanks to the generous prize donors.

Raffle winners picked up two return flights to Singapore and three night’s accommodation, an iPad mini, a Wollongong experience including accommodation, dinner, helicopter flights, and much more.

Redkite would like to acknowledge and thank Invisible Artists (who supplied photography and filming of the event) and Eventful Group (who assisted in the organisation of the pre-race function and post-race function) for their ongoing assistance and dedication to Redkite.

“The result from the SAPEF Regatta for Redkite event this year is just incredible. We are so honoured to be SAPEF’s charity of choice. A big thank you to all the generous supporters and sponsors that made the day so successful,” said Cathy Gregory, Redkite’s National Partnerships Manager.
