Statement of Commitment

Our commitment to child safety

We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children who come into contact with our employees and volunteers.

Our commitment to child safety

Redkite is a trusted and respected national cancer charity providing essential support to children with cancer and the family and support network who care for them. We provide services from diagnosis, throughout treatment and after treatment ends.

Redkite is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children who come into contact with our employees and volunteers while accessing our programs, services, facilities or fundraising endeavours.

Redkite recognises the importance of developing and implementing systems which protect children from exposure to abuse and contribute to a culture of safeguarding children.

Our Commitment to Becoming a Child Safe Organisation

We are committed to ensure an environment in which children are safe in all of our services, activities, events or facilities.

We are committed to ensure that our team members (paid and volunteer) do not harm, abuse or exploit children who are involved with our services, activities, events or facilities.

We are committed to using best practice child safe processes in recruitment, screening, appointment and training of all our team members.

Our organisation’s commitment to continually improving our culture to ensure children are safe is endorsed by Redkite’s CEO and Board of Directors.

Member of Australian Children’s Charities Leadership Forum

Redkite is a member of the Children’s Charities Leadership Forum, a group of leading national charities dedicated to directly helping seriously ill, disabled or disadvantaged children across Australia.

The group exemplifies the collaborative spirit and dedication of non-profit organisations that, despite their separate roles and specific goals, demonstrate a shared vision for a society that values children above all else.
