Redkite is thrilled to introduce Jodie Haydon as our new Ambassador

Redkite, the leading national Australian charity dedicated to providing critical emotional, financial and practical support to children with cancer and their families, is delighted to announce Jodie Haydon as our new Ambassador.

Having witnessed first-hand the impact childhood cancer has on families, Jodie understands “the other side of cancer” – the immense pressure it places on every family member and the need for comprehensive support beyond medical treatment.

As a Redkite Ambassador, Jodie will be working to raise awareness of the family support services Redkite has been providing for the past 40 years, and to assist us in our fundraising endeavours.

Jodie Haydon, Redkite Ambassador:“I am honoured to be joining Redkite as an Ambassador. I know from personal experience the incredible difference Redkite makes in the lives of families facing childhood cancer, and that they are there from day one at the most devastating and overwhelming time imaginable. Meeting the Redkite team, and witnessing first-hand the work they do, reinforced my decision that this is a charity I want to be part of.  I am committed to helping Redkite make a real difference in the lives of these children and families.

Georgie Gardner, Redkite Brand Ambassador: “I’ve been involved with Redkite for more than 20 years, and the life changing support I’ve seen them provide to families is immeasurable. To have someone such as Jodie, who personally connects with the cause and who holds it close to her heart with a genuine commitment, is invaluable.

“Together, along with the broader Redkite team, our ambition is to elevate awareness and support for families facing their child’s cancer diagnosis. We want all Australians to know about the significant difference Redkite makes, and the critical non-medical care and support they provide. I’ve seen it firsthand, and many families say it is the one thing that pulled them through their darkest days, and helped their family survive childhood cancer.“

We have got to know Jodie really well this year, and developed a strong connection with a shared passion to increase awareness and support of the critical services Redkite provides for Australian families facing childhood cancer.

Monique Keighery, Redkite CEO: “We are delighted to officially invite Jodie into our Redkite family and we know that together we can make a real impact. We have got to know Jodie really well this year, and developed a strong connection with a shared passion to increase awareness and support of the critical services Redkite provides for Australian families facing childhood cancer.

“Given this is a cause very close to Jodie’s heart, she understands just how shattering a child’s cancer diagnosis is for families.  We could not be more grateful for her genuine commitment to making a real difference for families during this heartbreakingly difficult time in their lives. With her genuine passion and connection with Redkite’s cause, we’re truly honoured to have her as our Ambassador.”

Redkite is proud to welcome Jodie Haydon as our new Ambassador and encourages the whole community to support our ongoing efforts to ensure no family in Australia faces the non-medical impacts of childhood cancer alone.
