Country Road unveils a new Red Bag

The Redkite diagnosis bag, affectionately known as the Red Bag, is given to families at a devastating time, providing practical and emotional support from the very beginning of their cancer journey.

To mark 10 years of the Redkite and Country Road partnership, the talented and passionate Country Road team have designed a new Red Bag, with updated functionality and a refreshed look.

The Redkite diagnosis bag, affectionately known as the Red Bag, is given to families at a devastating time, providing practical and emotional support from the very beginning of their cancer journey.

The bag contains the essentials, including items that parents haven’t had a chance to pack, such as toothpaste, or a blanket.

The Country Road team have also updated the teddy bear to join the refreshed bags, ready to provide comfort when a favourite toy has been left at home in the rush to get to the hospital.

Packing important items like medical information will be even easier thanks to additional pockets, while a carefully selected durable fabric means the famous duffle bag will continue to be a reliable overnight bag for hospital stays, for as long as it takes.

“When the Country Road team approached us with the idea to refresh the Red Bag, they had already put so much care and thought into the redesign, keeping the red stripe trademark of the bag while freshening up the look and adding new functionality.

“They know just how much this bag means to parents when they are told the devastating news of their child’s cancer diagnosis. We could not be more proud to work alongside the Country Road team in support of children and families, and we know this new bag will be as treasured and gratefully received as the thousands that have gone before,” Monique Keighery, Redkite CEO, said.

Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful Country Road team for continuing their support of families facing cancer.

Storytelling with a difference

How do you talk to a child about cancer and what’s happening to them? How do you help them express their feelings? Nothing about cancer is easy.
