Sydney French Open: Serving Hope for Families 

Over the October long weekend, Eastside Tennis Centre in Kingsford was transformed into a hub of energy, generosity, and community spirit. The Sydney French Open, now in its 12th year, brought together tennis lovers and Sydney’s Francophile community for a weekend of friendly competition and inspiring generosity. 

The annual event blends sport, culture, and compassion to support Redkite’s work with Caledonian families who travel to Sydney for childhood cancer treatment. It’s a cause close to the hearts of the organisers and attendees, and their commitment was clear in every serve, rally, and cheer. 

The event raised an incredible $27,000 for Redkite; a testament to the kindness and dedication of everyone involved. 

Redkite would like to extend a big thank you to the organisers and the volunteers who gave their time and energy to the Open. Your efforts make this event possible and ensure that families travelling from New Caledonia for treatment are able to access support and community when they need it most.”
