KiteCrew - Give families the help they need, when they need it

KiteCrew

The right help, at the right time makes all the difference.

It can be hard to know how to help someone when their child has cancer. KiteCrew is a free app helps you ‘take the lead’ to help the people you care about in the ways they need most.

To download, search for Redkite on the App Store or on Google Play.

What is KiteCrew?

Set tasks & get them done

KiteCrew is a free app where you can coordinate a crew of Helpers to take care of the day-to-day tasks that can be left behind when a family is caring for a child with cancer.

Captains & Helpers

What the roles on the app mean for you.

The Captain is the leader of the support crew. You know the family really well and they trust you to help them manage all the practical support they need.

You set up KiteCrew, ask helpers to join your crew, and add all the tasks that need to be done. Tasks can be available for everyone to see or privately shared with an inner circle.

Every Captain needs a crew. As a Helper, you are ready to join the crew and get things done.

You can view and choose to accept tasks. The app includes all the information you need to get the task done and will remind you to complete them on time.

How it works

How it helps

Practical support that makes a difference when times are tough

KiteCrew turns offers of ‘let me know what I can do’ into a list of practical tasks. When a child has cancer, it can be hard for families to stay on top of everything and it can be even harder to ask for help. This app makes it easier for everyone.

From help with walking the dog, school pickups or doing the laundry, this app makes offering and accepting help simple

  • Gathers a crew of Helpers in one place
  • Holds key information in one place
  • Helpful articles about childhood cancer and supporting families
  • Creates and allocates all the tasks a family needs to get done
  • Messaging feature to stay connected and updated
