Connect Group for Bereaved Parents & Carers
We understand that the death of a child is often an isolating, challenging, and unique experience. At times, it may feel as though people don’t understand what you’re going through, or how to best support you.
This Connect Group is an informal online group for bereaved parents and carers to meet and talk to others in a similar situation.
With two Redkite Social Workers there to guide the discussion, you will be able to safely share your experience, support each other and learn strategies that have been helpful. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like.
We welcome all parents, guardians, and carers and encourage new attendees to join. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like.

This group is for you if:
- You are a parent or carer connected to a child who was aged between 0-18 when they died after a cancer diagnosis
- You want to meet and talk to other parents, guardians, and carers in a similar situation
We’re here for you for as long as you need us
Redkite provides a variety of services for bereaved families, including 1-on-1 counselling for adults and children and financial assistance. We’re here whenever you need us, for as long as you need.
