Christmas Colouring In Competition

There’s nothing like an old-school colouring-in competition!

Remember the excitement you used to feel when you saw your colouring-in sheet up in the window of your local Coles (or Blockbuster Video for us oldies)?

Capture that excitement with kids and adults alike your own colouring-in competition and raise money while you’re at it! Here are a couple of ways that you could run it.

A Simple Kids Colouring In Competition

  • Find yourself a competition prize. You could donate the prize yourself or ask a local business for support.
  • Print out your colouring sheets. The link to download our Christmas Colouring-In sheet is at the bottom of this page.
  • Promote your competition. Get the word out as far and widely as possible! Send emails to your colleagues, pop a poster up in the window of your shop, send it out on social media – whatever is the best way to get your competition in front of your family, friends, colleagues, suppliers or customers.
  • Ask for a donation to enter. It doesn’t have to be huge and could be a gold coin donation (it’s a kids competition, after all) but if you promote the Redkite cause really well you may find that some parents choose to donate more.
  • Collect the artwork. Display them publicly if you can! You remember what a kick you received out of that.
  • Announce your competition winner. And make that child’s day 🙂

Up the ante with a Digital Colouring In Competition

It is amazing what you can achieve with digital drawing and illustrations apps now. They really allow kids to go all out and show their creativity. It also means that you can extend the reach of your fundraising campaign to those who aren’t in your local area. The process is the same as the simple colouring-in competition above but with a couple of adjustments:

  • Make your colouring sheet available digitally. You can download a PDF of our Christmas Colouring In sheet below and make that available on your website or social media channels, or even send it out via email.
  • Collect donations online. You can quickly and easily set up your own online account with Redkite in our fundraising portal: fundraise.redkite.org.au.

You’re then ready to go!

If you need any help with your fundraiser, feel free to get in contact with our community fundraising team on 1800 733 5485 or at community@redkite.org.au

Managing big feelings when going back to school

It’s that time of year again, dusting off the school uniforms, shopping for school supplies, thinking about creative lunch box and snack ideas as we forge ahead into a new school year.
