Stories from the 2019 New York City Marathon

NYC Marathon

In 2019, Redkite had two amazing runners hit the streets of NYC and took part in the 2019 New York City Marathon, running to support children and young people with cancer.

Our first runner is our very own Redkite Chairman, Jennifer Horrigan! Jennifer was inspired during her run through all five New York boroughs, was motivated knowing that for every kilometre she ran, she was helping families when they take on the biggest challenge of their own.

"I was so proud to be representing Redkite in the Big Apple, digging deep and running in the 2019 NYC Marathon.

I was inspired by all the good luck wishes whilst I was running for such an important reason, to support children and young people with cancer.  I am deeply grateful for all the support, thank you!"

Meet Lance Nurick! Lance is head of business intelligence at one of Redkite's corporate partners Winc.

"I decided to raise money for Redkite and run the New York Marathon in loving memory of my mother who passed away from cancer last year.

Knowing that I was honouring my mother by helping other families dealing with cancer made the whole experience so much more meaningful and it definitely helped motivate me throughout my training and throughout the marathon.

This was hands down the toughest thing I've ever done in my life but I loved every minute of it.  A massive thank you to Redkite and Winc for the opportunity to contribute and for the entire New York Marathon experience. I will never forget it."
