Australian Rugby Union players Dean Mumm and Lachie Turner took time away from the football pitch to visit children going through cancer at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth yesterday for Redkite, a charity that supports families through cancer.
The players shared their football tips with the children, were given a hospital ward tour and participated in a music therapy session. Music therapy assists children with pain management, eases stress and allows the children to have some fun and relief away from their rigorous cancer treatment regimes. Australia Rugby Union player.said: “The children in the wards are just so brave. It is a privilege to meet with them and their families and have some fun away from the stress of cancer.” The Australian Rugby Union is a valued supporter of Redkite and has been supporting Redkite since 2007. |
