Volunteer Committee Members - Redkite Corporate Quiz 2017 - Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney
The Redkite Corporate Quiz is Redkite’s signature fundraising event. Taking place in Brisbane (4 August), Perth (18 August), Melbourne (7 September) and Sydney (13 October), volunteers are critical to the success of these prestigious events.
Currently we are looking for well connected, passionate, professional and committed individuals to join the volunteer committees in each state to drive table sales, acquire event sponsorship and source prizes for the auctions. To find out more, please select the role description for your state.
Volunteer Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists - The Children's Hospital at Westmead, NSW
The Redkite Family Wellbeing Program at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead provides practical and emotional support to families on the ward and in the out-patient clinic. Our small team of volunteer beauty therapists, massage therapists and hairdressers offer much needed respite to parents whose child is receiving cancer treatment at the hospital.
We are looking for professionally qualified hairdressers and beauty therapists to join this team and share their professional skills for around 5 hours once a week (on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday)

Volunteer Committee Members – Sydney Colour Ball 2017
Delivered by a committee of highly motivated and committed volunteers, the Sydney Colour Ball has been supporting Redkite for 17 years. Get Ready to ROC!
The Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge 5k (ROC Race) is a game show-inspired obstacle fun run featuring 12 larger-than-life obstacles set along a 5k walk/run course. ROC Race is an untimed event open to everyone, from couch potatoes to track stars.
We're looking for Redkite ROCstar volunteers to support the delivery of this event in Sydney (23-26 Feb), Perth (7 and 9 April), Melbourne (30 March – 2 April) and South East Queensland (dates tbc).
For each volunteer that attends, Redkite will receive a donation of $30 from ROC Race! Roles include distributing participant packs ahead of the event, registering arrivals on the day and helping to staff the obstacles to ensure all entrants have a safe and fun day. Click here

On both an ongoing basis and from time to time for particular projects, we need skilled volunteers in our four state offices. We have offices in Brisbane (Petrie Terrace), Sydney (Redfern), Melbourne (Abbotsford) and Perth (Claremont).
These roles sit in a variety of our teams, including fundraising, marketing and finance. The activities undertaken within these roles are primarily administrative, but if you have another professional specialism which you would like to share with Redkite on a volunteer or pro-bono we would love to hear from you!

Important volunteering information
Overseas enquiries - as a national charity, Redkite cannot accept volunteer enquiries from those living outside of Australia.
Service based volunteering - due to the nature of Redkite's services for children and young people with cancer and their families, we cannot offer volunteer opportunities working directly with children or families, based in hospitals or within our support team.
Youth volunteering – We cannot accept volunteers under the age of 18 for any of our committee or skilled volunteering roles. From time to time we have event volunteer opportunities which are suitable for youth volunteering, these opportunities will be highlighted on our marketing materials.
