Working your way through the cancer journey will be challenging, but getting information and support is one of the best ways to look after yourself, and also to help out other important people in your life.

Redkite understands that along with concerns about treatment, you may also be thinking about the rest of your family, your friends, your work, how to tell people – it’s normal to have all sorts of emotions at this time. You may even question how you’ll cope. Our support services and programs are designed to lighten the load a little, and complement the skills, strengths and support you already have.

Redkite is a support organisation; our knowledge and expertise are built on 30 years of working with children and young people with cancer and their families. We’re not doctors or medical experts, so the information you will find in these pages is not meant to be medical advice. We’re here to help you and your family with emotionalfinancial and education support. We’ve put together links to other resources and organisations that can help too.

We know the more people you have on your side, the better. You may already have a fantastic collection of friends, family, neighbours or colleagues who will support you. Think of us as another addition to that network. Talking to people who know about the cancer journey and what to expect (like our support team) can really help you to feel more in control. It can help lessen your concerns and make you feel more confident in making decisions.

Redkite has been there for thousands of children and young people with cancer and their families, and we are here for you now.

Wherever you are in Australia, you can reach us on 1800 REDKITE (1800 733 548) Monday to Friday, 9am – 7pm AEST. You can also email us on and we’ll get back to you in less that two working days. Or if you’d prefer, have us get in touch with you at a time that suits.
