Route description and map
The Sea 2 Summit challenge leaves Merimbula Beach (
A) and heads south to Pambula. At South Pambula cyclists turn up into the stunning South East Forest National Park where the climb onto the Great Divide starts. From Bombala teams traverse the Monaro High Plains to Dalgety, on the banks of the Snowy River. From Dalgety (
C) the ride gets interesting with the brutal climb over the (
D) Beloka Range before a well-deserved descent into Jindabyne (
E).
At Jindabyne, the road heads only one way – up. The route follows the Kosciuszko Road to Charlottes Pass and beyond to the final goal: Mount Kosciuszko (
F). The final kilometre from Rawsons Pass to the summit often has large snow drifts remaining from the previous winter. You can use the map controls below to zoom in and out on the route.
