On Wednesday 16th June, Sydney-siders will have the chance to enjoy a unique ‘Sex and the City 2’ experience and support Redkite at the same time.Fans are being called to save their ‘Sex in the City 2’ encounter for a special screening at the George Street cinema. Cosmopolitan cocktails will be available prior to the movie and guests will have the chance to win a Samantha Wills jewellery prize for bringing the sexiest handbag. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Redkite’s work to support children and young people through cancer. The Redkite screening night has been organised by the Red Ladies – a group of enthusiastic women who have joined together with Event Cinemas George Street. The Red Ladies are calling for women to get together with their girlfriends, colleagues, daughters, mothers, aunts and sisters to reserve their viewing of ‘Sex and the City 2’ for Redkite night. “Women from all over Sydney will be coordinating a girl’s night out to see the most anticipated chick-flick of the year so we’re calling out for them to save their next ‘Sex and the City’ experience for Redkite night,” said Keah Sheedy, a member of the Red Ladies volunteer group. “Just by coming to see the movie on Wednesday 16th June guests will be helping families who are struggling with hospital bills, time away from work and school and the emotional struggle of having a child with cancer.” Guests are invited to meet at 6.15 pm to get in the ‘Sex and the City’ spirit over a Cosmopolitan cocktail. They’ll also receive a traditional cinema treats pack including a small drink, small popcorn and a choc top to enjoy during the movie. The film will start at 7.30pm sharp. “This is not just a charity event, this is an opportunity for the girls to take some time out for themselves and to have a really fun girlie night out,” said Keah. Tickets are on sale for $50 and must be pre-purchased here. |
