Tuesday, 4 September 2012 Former Sydney Swans captain and long term supporter of Redkite, Brett Kirk, has been announced as the new Fremantle Dockers Assistant Coach for next season.
Redkite would like to congratulate Brett on his exciting new position.
Brett is a long term and valued supporter of Redkite through his involvement with the Sydney Swans, since 2000. Brett is the former captain of the team and we are pleased that he continues to support children and young people with cancer and their families - not only on a personal level, but also through his new involvement with the Fremantle Dockers, a charity partner of Redkite.
Brett is a highly respected AFL player and has demonstrated his dedication to supporting families dealing with childhood cancer through his participation in special Family Days, visits to oncology wards and other Redkite events.
Sydney Swans hosts the annual Redkite celebrity game to help raise awareness of Redkite’s services and Redkite is the principle charity of the Fremantle Football Club with the club fundraising and providing special opportunities for the children, young people, and their families. Both teams are valued supporters of Redkite and play annually for the Redkite Cup.
Redkite is grateful for Brett’s passion and desire to make a real difference to the lives of families, both in the hospital and in their community.
Redkite would like to wish Brett all the best in his new role and will be cheering on both the Fremantle Dockers and the Sydney Swans in the next AFL season.
