Learn more about Workplace Giving this June

Workplace givingDid you know June is Workplace Giving Month? It's an opportunity to thank the many Australian workers who are making regular contributions from their pay packets to support children and young people with cancer. Learn how easy it is for you and your company to get involved if you're not already!

Here is why workplace giving is a win-win-win.

Win for your workplace:

Studies show that 81% of workers consider an organisation's committment to social issues when deciding where to work. A workplace giving program creates a great workplace culture, helps your business to recruit the brightest in the field, improves staff retention, and promotes higher productivity.

Win for your employees:

Workplace giving is a simple and tax effective way for employees to donate to causes they care about. Employees receive an immediate tax benefit rather than waiting until the end of the financial year.

Win for the causes you care about:

As donations are deducted pre-tax, admin costs are reduced, meaning more money reaches children and young people facing cancer. Studies show workplace givers make regular contributions for an average of 8-10 years, creating a regular stream of income, so we can budget well in advance.

Workplace Giving Month is an Australian Charities Fund (ACF) initiative to promote the benefits of charitable workplace giving to team engagement, morale and culture. It’s part of the ACF’s One Million Donors campaign, which aims to have one million Australians donating through their workplace by 2020.
