Can you guarantee my privacy?

Your privacy is very important to us. Throughout support or counselling contact, all personal information provided by you is kept strictly confidential within Redkite unless you give us permission to share it with another party (eg. your hospital team). We will not share personal information with any third party except in the following duty of care and personal safety situations:

  • If we believe that you are seriously thinking about hurting yourself
  • If we believe someone else is harming you
  • If you tell us you have hurt or are seriously thinking about hurting someone else
  • If we believe there is a serious child protection issue

What about information keeping?

Redkite will keep files of communication to help us give you the best service possible.

  • Remember to tell us if you change your details or ‘identity’ so we can keep you connected with your counsellor
  • We encourage you to keep your own records of our communication. Many people find that this helps them be aware of their progress
Redkite will keep anonymous records (like statistics, trends and issues) in order to evaluate and improve our services.

Feedback

We encourage feedback from everyone who uses Redkite services. This helps us understand more about what you need, what works and what doesn’t. We want to continuously learn and improve our services.
