I need urgent support. Can you help me?
Redkite Telephone and Email support cannot guarantee you an immediate response and is not an urgent crisis service. If you require urgent support please contact your treatment centre, Lifeline 13 11 14
www.lifeline.org.au or Kids Help Line 1800 55 1800
www.kidshelp.com.au.
Redkite provides a range of services to ensure families are supported throughout the cancer experience. Support is available from the point of diagnosis, treatment phase and throughout the adjustment of returning home.
Do you provide treatment advice?
Redkite does not provide treatment or medical advice. If you require medical or treatment advice we encourage you to contact your hospital treating team or GP.
What qualifications do Redkite counsellors have?
Redkite counsellors are qualified Social Workers, Psychologists or Counsellors with professional experience working with young people with cancer and their families.
What if I just want some information not counselling?
Redkite realises that people need all kinds of support, not just counselling. You can use Redkite Email or Telephone support for general information enquiries or for ongoing counselling support.
How is Redkite Telephone and Email support different from other helpline support?
Redkite counsellors have specific experience working with young people with cancer and their families. This means they have insight and education around the impact of cancer on a young person and their family. Redkite can access information and support requirements for you through our networks across Australia.
Feedback
We encourage feedback from everyone who uses Redkite services. This helps us understand more about what you need, what works and what doesn’t. We want to continuously learn and improve our services.
If you have a complaint or compliment or any other feedback about our services we encourage you to email us at
support@redkite.org.au or telephone 1800 REDKITE (1800 733 548). All complaints are referred to management for review and response.
Your local
