Support for family and friends

The initial shock and distress of learning your child or friend has cancer is something you can never be prepared for. Redkite believes that the best way to support a child or young person with cancer, is to support the whole family and their network.

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, brother or sister, other carer or another family member or close friend, Redkite provides a range of services to support you through the various stages of the child or young person’s cancer experience.

You’ll find Redkite-sponsored social workers in children’s hospitals in Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne and in specific adolescent and young adult oncology units throughout Australia. Redkite social workers will introduce you to our range of services designed to help you and your family.
